In every adversity comes the seed of equivalent or greater opportunity.
This was a phrase that an old boss of mine used regularly to himself and others, sometimes to the point of annoyance. He was convinced that were no circumstances you could put him in that didn’t always have a benefit. Whilst there were times you just wanted to strangle him for being so positive when those around him (including me) just wanted a moan or gripe session. Stanley was wise before his time. I wonder how he would react to this pandemic. He wouldn’t be flippant but he would try to find hope.
Perhaps when this thing is gone, we will realise some opportunities. We might treat the climate with more respect. Nations may cooperate more. We might collaborate and treat each other with more harmony. What we decide is important going forward might change for the better.
In every adversity comes the seed of equivalent or greater opportunity.
Let us all at least hope.
